Sudurpaschim Royals set a target of 188-run against Lumbini Lions

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec.7: Sudurpaschim Royals has posted a target of 188  runs for Lumbini Lions in the match of Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Saturday at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.

After losing the toss, Sudurpaschim Royals was invited to bat and scored 187 runs in a loss of four wickets in the stipulated 20 overs at the Kirtipur cricket ground on Saturday morning.  

Saif Ali Zaib played the highest half-century innings of 90 runs comprising six fours and five sixes in 61 balls for Sudurpaschim Royals. He made that run with the help of 6 fours and 5 sixes in 61 balls. 

Captain Dipendra Singh Airee scored 39 runs, four fours, and two sixes in 19 balls. 

Similarly, Brandon McMullen scored 23 runs, opener Binod Bhandari scored 17 runs, and Scott Kuggeleijn scored 11 runs. Aarif Sheikh returned to the pavilion with zero runs.

Lumbini's Ramon Simonds took two wickets, and the captains of the Lumbini Lions, Rohit Kumar Paudel and Bibek Kumar Yadav, each took one wicket. 

Lumbini, who have suffered two consecutive defeats despite setting up a big total in the previous matches, is aiming to get their first win.
