Kathmandu, Dec 6: The government has honoured seven enterprises in recognition of their outstanding management and exercises in the occupational safety and health sectors.
Each of them represents seven provinces. Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, honoured them amidst a programme organised by the Labour and Occupational Safety Department under the Ministry on Friday.
Those honoured are Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd (Koshi Province), Britania Nepal Pvt Ltd (Madhesh), Uniliver Nepal Pvt Ltd (Bagamati), Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd (Gandaki), Raj Brewery Pvt Ltd, Siddhartha Sunny Resort (Karnali) and Western Feed Pvt Ltd (Sudurpashim).
On the occasion, Minister Bhandari said the promotion and management of workers' physical, mental and social wellbeing at the work station would help in development of entrepreneurship on a long run.
Presenting the data about the deaths of 14,000 workers in 16 years in foreign employment, he said the government is committed to making foreign employment more secured and systematic. (RSS)
