By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec 5: Sudur Paschim Royals posted a target of 168 runs for Kathmandu Gurkhas in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) on Thursday at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
After losing a toss Sudur Paschim was invited to bat by Kathmandu where Sudur Pashchim managed a score of 167 runs in a loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
To pile a medium score Sudur Paschim's batsmen Brandon McMullen hit a half-century scoring 53 runs, captain Dipendra Singh Airee scored 43 runs, Binod Bhandari scored 35 runs, Saif Zaib scored 11, Scott Kuggeleijn 7, Rohan Mustafa 4, Aarif Sheikh 3 and Ishan Pandey scored one run.
Kathmandu's bowler Rashid Khan took two wickets whereas Shahab Alam, Karan KC and Gerhard Erasmus took a single wicket each.
Both teams are seeking their second victory in the NPL.
