Kathmandu, Dec 1: Minister for Youth and Sports Tejulal Chaudhary has said that the 10th national games scheduled to be held in Surkhet of Karnali province will be held in February.
In today's meeting of the National Assembly, Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee, during discussion about the government assurance related to the Ministry of Youth and Sports mentioned in the government's policy and programme 2080-81 BS, Minister Chaudhary said that the 10th national games will be held in the predetermined time and place.
The Sports Minister assured that the games will be organized in Surkhet in the stipulated time as government is committed to it.
He informed the meeting that the ministry is committed to the social security of the sportspersons of the country.
In the meeting, the MPs emphasized that the time and place of the 10th National Games should not be changed.
MPs Padam Pariyar, Madan Kumari Shah, Sumitra BC and others requested Minister Chaudhary to hold the national games at the stipulated time and place.
On the occasion, Secretary of the Sports Ministry, Suman Aryal, shared that the Ministry is working by connecting sports with education, culture and other genres.(RSS)
