Development of Dolakha priority for Bagmati govt: CM Lama

By Our Correspondent,Charikot, Nov. 24: Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Bahadur Singh Lama (Tamang) has said that the development of Dolakha is a priority for the Bagmati Province Government.

Chief Minister Lama said so while speaking at an interaction programme with the Judicial Committee and people’s representatives organised by the Office of the Chief Justice in Charikot on Saturday. 

Minister Lama, highlighted Dolakha’s tourism potential and assured that the provincial government would support efforts to promote tourism.

Lama emphasised the need for people’s representatives to create an environment where citizens can easily access the rights enshrined in the Constitution. 

He stressed that the job of the Judicial Committee is to deliver justice, with reconciliation being the top priority.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the Bagmati Province government is committed to providing services to its citizens and will prioritise the development of Dolakha. 

He also mentioned that several programmes would be introduced to further develop Jiri as a prominent tourist destination.

Lama noted that Dolakha’s development is particularly significant, as the Minister of Finance is also from the district.

Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning of the Bagmati Provincial Government, Kundan Raj Kafle, stressed the importance of impartial judicial administration.

He warned that without impartial justice, people would not feel the presence of a functioning government.

Minister Kafle further highlighted the need for continuous engagement of people’s representatives in serving the public.

Minister Kafle also announced that the process of upgrading Jiri Hospital to a provincial hospital has reached its final stage. 

He added that efforts are underway to restore lost provincial offices in the district.

Justice of Bagmati Province Sukadev Kafle explained that the programme was organised to address challenges faced by people’s representatives in carrying out judicial work due to insufficient knowledge of the judicial sector.
