Kawasoti Correspondent, Nov.11: Residents of the hilly areas of Nawalpur are forced to make a risky journey because of the dilapidated condition of the rural roads leading from the highway to the hilly areas to the north.

Jeeps depart from the market area along the highway from Gaindakot Municipality, Nawalpur District to Dumkibas towards the hilly areas of the districts.

Gan Bahadur Aale of Dhauwadi, Hupsekot Rural Municipality said that many passengers are compelled to travel risking their lives on roads of hilly areas because of high traffic as vehicles depart in intervals of 1:30 to two hours and dilapidated road conditions

He said, "There are as many passengers inside the bus as on the rooftop thereby making the ride risky. Because of the lower number of vehicles people are found often taking packed buses to reach their destinations. On top of it, road conditions are worse. This is the reality of people living in hills."

He said that only a quarter of 24 kilometers of road from Daldale to Dhauwadi is blacktopped.
