Well-equipped hospital building constructed in Galyang

By Our Correspondent,Waling, Oct. 27: A well-equipped hospital building has been constructed in Galyang, Syangja. 

Galyang Municipality is operating a 15-bed city hospital in a building constructed with assistance from the government of India. The building was inaugurated on Friday by Avinash Kumar Singh, First Secretary, Embassy of India, Kathmandu, and the District Coordination Committee Chairman, Shri Prasad JT and the Head of Galyang Municipality, Guru Prasad Bhattarai.

At the event, Singh noted that the government of India has consistently supported Nepal in times of need and that each year, on Republic Day, India provides school buses and ambulances to Nepal.

The construction of the Galyang Nagar Hospital was completed at a cost of Rs. 37.9 million, funded by the governments of Nepal and India. 

According to Bhattarai, the hospital serves citizens from the Syangja, Palpa, Parbat and Gulmi districts.

He stated that the hospital with a 15-bed facility currently treats over 200 patients daily and is equipped with patient-friendly amenities.

Lal Gopal Aryal, Chairman of the Galyang Community Health Center, confirmed that the centre has now been upgraded to a city hospital.
