By TRN Online, Lamjung, Oct.26: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has said that all those names which have come up in the report prepared by the parliamentary special inquiry committee formed to investigate cooperative fraud would be investigated.

At a programme organized by CPN (UML) District Committee to exchange greetings on the occasion of Dashai, Tihar, Nepal Sambat and Chhath at Besisahar municipality-8, Lamjung, today,  Communication Minister Gurung made it clear that the investigation will not be stranded at the time when protesters supporting the President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane, are staging a demonstration to influence investigation process and put pressure on the government.

He said that no matter how much pressure is put upon, the investigation into the cooperative fraud will not stop.

The government has proceeded to implement the recommendations from the special probe committee headed by Surya Thapa, thereby arresting 600 people under investigation.

Lamichhane was also arrested in the process.

He said, "There is no need to be misled or to mislead, everything is moving forward according to the process."

He made it clear that the government is proceeding with good governance with confidence and the campaign of those trying to stop it will not succeed and those found guilty should be prepared to face punishment.

Minister Gurung said, "The investigation will move forward on all those who are under investigation regardless of being in government or in opposition. The demonstration will not change anything and nothing will happen from it."

He made it clear that there is no choice but to accept that the guilty will come under investigation jurisdiction.
