Kathmandu, Oct 24: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has reminded the world community of Nepal's rights to climate justice.

He sought cooperation in ensuring Nepal's easy access to global climate funds and mobilization of climate finance as the country is worst hit by the climate change impact. Paudel said it during a high level ministerial meeting held in the USA as per of annual meetings of the World Bank Groups and the International Monetary Fund.

DPM Paudel also urged for further responsibility and seriousness on the part of development partners and entire international community.

According to him, it was challenging for Nepal in mobilizing financial resources at a time when it has been facing huge natural disaster.

Information about the event was shared by Finance Secretary Dr Ram Prasad Ghimire to the RSS.

The loss and damage fund set up for climate justice needs effective operation, he underlined, arguing that Nepal, despite having a negligible role on emission of green house gases, is bearing brunt of climate change impacts.(RSS)
