Dasanayake appointed mentor of Nepali cricket team

Kathmandu, Oct 17: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has appointed former coach of the Nepali national cricket team, Pubudu Dasanayake, as the mentor of the team.     

Former coach Dasanayake has been appointed to play the role of a mentor for the triangular series being held in the US involving the hosts, Nepal and Scotland. The series is taking place from October 25 to November 4 under the ICC World Cricket League-2, according to CAN spokesperson Chumbi Lama.     

Under the series, Nepal will play its first match against the USA on October 27, second match against Scotland on October 29 and the third match against USA on November 2. In the fourth and final match, Nepal will compete against Scotland on November 4.     

It may be noted that Janakpur Bolts, one of the franchise team participating in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), has appointed Dasanayake as the head coach.(RSS)
