Major General Singh of India concludes Nepal visit

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Oct. 7: Indian Army Major General Charanjeet Singh Dewgun, YSM, Col of the Regt 3 GR, returned to India after wrapping up his six-day official visit to Nepal on Saturday. 

Arrived on September 30, Maj. Gen. Dewgun, during his stay in Nepal, visited several branches of the Indian Defence Wing and ECHS Polyclinics in Pokhara and Kathmandu run under Bharatiya Gorkha Sainik Niwas, said the Embassy of India in Kathmandu in a statement on Saturday.   

According to the Embassy of India, during his visit to Nepal, he visited Pokhara where he felicitated Gallantry awardees and Veer Naris at the Exhibition Site Management (Exsm) rally in Pokhara. 

He emphasised furthering the reach of ECHS Nepal in service of valorous Exsm. 

During the visit, the Gen Officer also called on Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Ashok Raj Sigdel of the Nepali Army at the Army Headquarters, Bhadrakali, and discussed furtherance in military bilateral relations of India with Nepal and strengthening the army-to-army connection.

He commended the Def Wg team at EoI for the astute professional conduct furthering the bilateral ties of both the countries and efforts taken by them towards the welfare of Exsm in Nepal, read the statement.
