Child dies after being hit by school bus

By Bomlal Giri, Nawalpur, Oct.4: A child died after being hit by a school bus at Kawasoti, municipality-1, Nawalpur district, on Friday.

Samrat, a 22-month-old son of Yam Poudel, of Kawasoti-1, Chhahari Chowk, was hit by a school bus of Gandaki School with a registration number (Na 1 Ka 5817), which was going from Koila Pani to Phalphul chowk in the inner road section of Kawasoti-1, Chhahari Chowk. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Bahadur Paudel said that the bus hit the toddler playing on the road while it was picking up children. 

The injured toddler was taken to the Nawalpur Hospital in Kawasoti and the hospital declared him dead. 

The bus and the driver of the bus that caused the accident are under police control.
