EWVL: Karnali bag second win in a row

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Oct. 2: Karnali Yashvis registered second straight win at Everest Women Volleyball League on Tuesday. 

Karnali started their campaign by defeating Madhesh United 25-15, 25-20, 26-28 and 25-11 on Monday evening. For their second win, Karnali overcame Gandaki Thunders in a five set thriller. Karnali gave away the first set to Gandaki by 15-25 but bounced back to claim straight two sets by 25-22 and 25-17. 

Gandaki, however, was in no mood to surrender easily as they leveled the tally 2-2 by claiming the fourth set with 25-19 score leading the match to fifth set.

In the nail biting fifth set, Karnali outplayed Gandaki by three points and took  the deciding set with 15-12. Zeynep Oturan was named Player of the match for her match winning performance.

From two wins, Karnali collected five points while Gandaki have one point from two straight defeats. 

Gandaki lost their opener against Chitwan Shakti by 22-25, 25-19, 23-25, 18-25 on Monday evening.
