Former PM Prachanda congratulates newly elected Sri Lankan President Dissanayake

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept 23: Former Prime Minister and Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Center), the main opposition party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has congratulated newly elected President of Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

"I extend hearty congratulations and best wishes to comrade Dissanayake for the historic victory in the 9th presidential election of Sri Lanka," stated former PM Prachanda in the social media X.

Former PM Prachanda added, “I salute the choice of the Sri Lankan people to elect a Marxist leader as an ultimate solution to corruption, malpractices of democracy and geopolitical tensions. I hope better relations between Nepal and Sri Lanka during his (Dissanayake) tenure.
