Acting PM Singh directs project chiefs to expedite works

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept 23: Acting Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh has directed the chiefs of departments and projects under the Ministry of Urban Development against any dillydallying in works to be done.

Acting PM Singh who is also Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development called the chiefs to the Ministry and issued the directives that they should be result-oriented so that people feel the development works progressing in a fast manner.

He took stock of the running projects from the chiefs and then pointed out the need for expediting works by coordinating with the concerned stakeholders.

"Make the action plan based on the work performance contract made with the Prime Minister," he told them, "The Ministry will extend necessary coordination when problems emerge. We need effective and result oriented work performance."
