PM Oli congratulates bronze medal winner Palesha
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug.31: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has congratulated Palesha Goverdhan who won a historic bronze medal for Nepal in the Paris Paralympics 2024.
PM Oli congratulated Goverdhan on Saturday through the social networking site.
In the women's Taekwondo 57 kg event under the K-44 category match held on Friday night, Palesha defeated Serbia's Marija Michev by 15-8 points to bring a coveted bronze medal for herself and the country.
With this, she has become the first Nepali athlete to win a medal in the Paralympics.
