By Phadindra Adhikari, Lekhnath, Kathmandu, Aug.31: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung said that the Nepal Congress is taking an apolitical stance in Gandaki Province.

Addressing a program organized by the Press Chautari Kaski on Saturday, Minister Gurung emphasized that the government should be reshuffled in the Gandaki province in accordance with the spirit of the federal alliance.

Gurung said, "The Chief Minister should show the culture of alliance and political honesty. He is talking apolitically, this is not his governance."

Chief Minister of the Gandaki Province Surendra Raj Pandey who bags the majority without the support of CPN (UML) indicated that he wants to keep the current cabinet of ministries, 'independent' and from Nepal Samajwadi Party, intact.

He insists that if the CM does not want to change the current cabinet of ministers then he should keep them from his quota.

Spokesperson of the government Gurung said that the government is taking initiatives to bring the Federal Police Act and Federal Civil Service Act into effect within this year.

Gurung said, "If these laws come into effect, federalism will be implemented to a large extent."

Claiming that the current power coalition will last until the next general election, he pointed out that Nepali society and the journalism sector are more vested in negative.
