Heavy rainfall likely in Koshi and Gandaki

Kathmandu, Aug 31: With the weather remaining party cloudy to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi province, light rainfall is currently taking place in one or two places of Koshi. 

Monsoon winds are currently affecting the country, with the monsoon low pressure line located to the south of usual place, says Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecast Division.

This afternoon, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country, with a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and one or two places in the remaining provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

There is also a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and few places of remaining provinces. Heavy rain is likely in few places and very heavy rain in one or two places of Koshi and Bagmati provinces. (RSS)
