EWV reveals list of players

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 17: The Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWV) has revealed the list of players and coaches for the six participating franchise teams. Organizer Infinity Dreams Pvt. Ltd said the announcement was made after reaching an agreement with EWV and the Nepal Volleyball Association.

According to league regulations, each team must have one A-grade player, four B-grade players, and three C-grade players. Additionally, each club must include three international players and one player selected from a talent hunt.

The marquee players for the six teams were announced earlier. 

Team Gandaki has Saraswoti Chaudhary as its marquee player. The team includes Pragati Nath, Lakshmi Chand, Rima Kunwar, and Kabita Bhatta as Grade B players. Arati Chaudhary, Sneha Thagunna, and Saraswoti Jaisi join the team as Grade C players. The team is coached by Rupesh Kumar Bista.

Marquee player Usha Bhandari leads Team Kathmandu coached by Jagadish Prasad Bhatta. Arati Subedi, Kopila Rana, Kamala Pun, and Usha Bista are Grade B players, while Nisha Mahar, Basanti Saud, and Rashmita Dura are Grade C players of Kathmandu.

Team Madhes is led by marquee player Niruta Thagunna, with Puja Tharu, Sangam Mahat, Jasana Mahato, and Shanti Tamang listed as Grade B players. The team coached by Bharat Yadav includes Hira KC, Aashika Kshetry, and Alisha Manandhar as Grade C players.

Salina Shrestha is the marquee player for Team Lalitpur, with Punam Chand, Kamana Bista, Safiya Pun, and Nisha Chaudhary joining as Grade B players. Anusha Chaudhary, Neha Chaudhary, and Bhawana Tamang are Grade C players. Utsav Khadka is the coach of Lalitpur.

Team Karnali's marquee player is Sumitra Regmi. Mina Sunar, Manisha Chaudhary, Yamuna Rasaili, and Sunita Rai are Grade B players. Shristi Khadki, Garima Bohara, and Pashupati Bohara are Grade C players. The team is coached by Kumar Rai.

Team Chitwan is led by national team captain Aruna Shahi, with Salina Budha Magar, Jinisha Vishwakarma, Anjela Pradhan, and Sunita Khadka enlisted as Grade B players. Bhawana Dangi, Balmiki Acharya, and Saraswoti Kattel are Grade C players. Arjun Ghimire is the team's coach.
