Attention drawn towards the adjournment NA meeting

Kathmandu, July 11: Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), Janata Samajbadi Party and Loktantrik Samajbadi Party have expressed concern over the adjournment of the meeting of the National Assembly today.     

 Despite disagreement of most of the members in the meeting of the NC state affairs committee, the NA meeting was adjourned all of a sudden.     

A joint statement issued by the four parties states that the Chairperson of the National Assembly has postponed the meeting despite their disagreement taking over the absence of the Finance Minister which was mal-intended. Passing of Economic Bill 2081, National Debt Collection Bill 2081, Customs Tariff Bill 2081 were on the regular agenda.     

 The statement signed by UML chief whip Bhagwati Neupane, Congress chief whip Krishna Bahadur Rokaya, JSP party leader Mrigendra Kumar Singh and LSP party leader Shekhar Kumar Singh states the step has violated the constitutional and legal right of the NA to put forth its suggestions and amendments over the bill.(RSS)
