Bajura, July 7: The Sanfe-Martadi highway has been blocked due landslides triggered by incessant rainfall since the past few days.

Police Inspector and Information Officer Dev Chaudhary said that the highway
has been blocked due to landslides near Serabagar, Haddekhola and District
Jail.
As the highway was blocked, long
and short distance vehicles and cargo vehicles have been stranded. Buses coming
from Dhangadhi, Mahendranagar and Nepalgunj have been stopped on the road after
the highway was blocked.
Meanwhile, the Martadi-Kolti road
connecting the north-east part of the district remains blocked for traffic for
the past five days. Police Inspector Chaudhary said the government that the
road was blocked after landslides started in Badimalika municipality-7 district
due to continuous rain.
Chief District Officer Bhimkant
Paudel said only after the rain stops the landslide debris can be cleared and
traffic resumes regularly. (RSS)
