Responding to the lawmakers' concerns on the Appropriation Bill 2081 BS in today's National Assembly (NA) meeting, Minister Tamang shared that different options are being discussed to run the NAC based on the report submitted by the committee formed for NAC's operation and management.

Minister Tamang added that the ministry was working as per the recommendation of the NAC Reforms Recommendation Committee formed under former Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Dipendra Bahadur Chhetri.

On the occasion, Minister Tamang stated that the ministry was committed to protecting and promoting all languages, cultures and arts in the country.

He stated that a timely decision would be taken on whether or not the statue of Pashupatinath could be made public and said that tradition would also be taken into account for this.

Likewise, Tamang said the ministry has allocated a budget for the protection and promotion of religiously important tourist sites including Lumbini, Pashupatinath, Muktinath and Ram Janaki Temple.

Responding to the NA members' queries, Minister Tamang said different programmes would be organized in India and China to bring in tourists from there and all should work to receive 1.6 million tourists in Nepal in a year as per the Tourism Strategic Plan 2016-2025.(RSS)
