'No problem with social networking sites if used lawfully'

 By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 13: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has said that there is no objection on using social networking sites including TikTok in Nepal as long as it is socially accepted and according to the law of Nepal. 

Saying that due to the production and broadcasting of the content in TikTok that gives importance to the immodest actions of the society, the government had banned TikTok from the country, Minister Sharma said that TikTok is still banned from Nepal. 

The government has not allowed  TikTok to be used from the major internet service providers including Nepal Telecom. 

She said that those who abide by the law should not use TikTok.
