PM Prachanda stressed the importance of being responsible to citizens, sensitive to human rights, impartial, professional and committed to the concept of the rule of law.

To elevate the relationship between citizens and the police to a higher level, the Prime Minister emphasised the need for training centres to be sensitive in producing skilled and competent human resources capable of efficiently handling the responsibilities entrusted by the nation.

The Prime Minister said that a new police academy training centre is being built in Panauti of Kavrepalanchok to modernise training methods and standards and to make the training more qualitative and practical by updating the curriculum.

He clarified that the government was committed to facilitating and completing the construction of these structures (training academy) through diplomatic efforts, keeping national security and interests at the forefront.

IGP Kunwar stated that the legal authority of the state is embodied in the blue police uniform, saying, "I want to instruct all the police inspectors being sworn in to always remember one principle: the authority given by the state should not be viewed as power but as a responsibility entrusted by the state."

At the ceremony, the Executive Director of the Training Academy and Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Sudip Giri, administered the oath to the trainees.

He also delivered the welcome speech and presented the training report. He said that the training, which began on December 11, 2022, under the affiliation of Tribhuvan University and included a Post Graduate Diploma in Police Science, was successfully completed by all 149 police inspectors, including 18 women officers.
