By TRN Online, Kathmandu, APRIL 24: Qatar and Nepal signed two agreements and six Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday. Six at the government level and two with the private sector, making a total of eight MoUs and agreements have been signed between the two countries.
The agreement has been signed for collaboration in the sector of Art and culture, news exchange between government agencies of Nepal and Qatar, and aid for the education sector following the bilateral talks between the Qatari Emir and PM Prachanda held in the Soltee Hotel.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the attorney general's offices of both countries, diplomacy, education and training, youth and sports.
The Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Padam Giri, had signed the agreement papers that happened at the government level from the side of Nepal.
Likewise, the MoU for the exchange of investment was signed between the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), and Qatar of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) has been signed between two counties in the private sector.
FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal signed the MoU from the side of Nepal and Chairman of the QCCI Khalifa Bin Jassim Al Thani from the side of Qatar.
