Sodari appointed Chief Minister of Sudur Paschim Province

By Prakash Bikram Shah, Dhanagadhi, Apr. 18: Dirgha Bahadur Sodari has been appointed the Chief Minister of Sudur Paschim Province.

Province Chief Najir Miya appointed Sodari, the leader of the parliamentary party of the CPN (Unified Socialist) in Sudur Paschim Province, as per Article 168 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.

Sodari has garnered support of 27 provincial lawmakers- 10 of CPN (UML), 10 of CPN (Maoist Center), four of CPN (Unified Socialist), two out of seven from Najarik Unamukti Party and one independent lawmaker.

The Sudur Paschim provincial assembly has 52 members at present.
