Formulating industry-friendly laws in Govt priority: PM Prachanda

By Our Correspondent, Hetauda, Mar 29: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that it is the priority of the government to bring industry-friendly laws to implementation. 

Addressing the 25th general assembly of the Federation of the Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN), PM Prachanda clarified that the procedural framework of the procurement process will be simplified. 

PM Prachanda, said, “Even though the Public Procurement Act has been amended time and again, it has not been able to be in line with the national need. It is the priority of the government to make industry-friendly laws by simplifying the procedural framework of the procurement process.”

Mentioning that the government is committed to accelerating the development of infrastructure by amending the Act and related laws along with the participation of the construction entrepreneurs, PM Prachanda said that the government is committed to formulating scientific policy and standard on construction works that also considers the financial capability, technology, and manpower, of the construction companies.
