CPN (Maoist Centre) withdraws support to Sudur Pashchim govt

By Awinash Chaudhary, Dhangadhi,  Mar 6: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has withdrawn its support to the government of the Sudur Pashchim Province.

CPN MC withdrew their support to the provincial government after the Chief Minister of the Sudur Pashchim Province Kamal Bahadur Shah suspended three ministers of the Maoist Centre on Tuesday. 

Man Bahadur Dhami the Parliamentary Party leader said that the meeting of the Maoist Centre parliamentary party this morning decided to withdraw the support it had given to CM Shah. 

The Chief Minister Shah relieved the Minister for Social Development Jhapat Saud, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, Ram Singh Dhami and the State Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, Geeta Devi Mal of their posts on Tuesday. 

Even if the Maoist Centre takes their support, the majority remains to the Chief Minister. 

 The Maoist Centre has 10 out of the total 53 seats in the Assembly, except the Speaker. 

The Nepali Congress, which is the largest party in the Assembly, has 18 seats after the death in a road accident some months ago of one of its Assembly members from Bajhang, Prithvi Bahadur Singh. 

Similarly, the CPN (UML) has ten seats, the Nagarik Unmukti Party seven seats, the CPN (Unified Socialist) four, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) one and an independent member in the Province Assembly. 

The Nagarik Unmukti Party and the CPN (Unified Socialist), the present ruling coalition partners, have not decided till this afternoon whether they will remain in the government or not.
