People's War was a supreme movement of Nepali people: Biplov

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 4: General Secretary of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplov’ said that it is to poke fun on history to term the People's War as useless and crime.

Speaking at a programme under the Martyrs Week organized by Martyrs Foundation entitled peace process, federal democratic republic and today's politics, on Monday, general secretary Biplov made it clear that federal democratic republic was born as the offspring of the Maoist insurgency, People’s revolution and all the rebellion in Nepal.

It has come to a situation where the heroes of the country are denounced as criminals and criminals are honoured as heroes.

He said that the Maoist insurgency was the supreme movement in the Nepali political history. The Federal democratic republics was established as the result of the Maoist Insurgency or the People's War.

He said, “The federal democratic republic was born as the offspring of the Maoist insurgency, People’s revolution and all the rebellion of Nepal. They are terming People’s War as useless. In some cases they are even referring it as crime. It feels that it is a respite to the history, like heroes are criminals. It has come to a situation where criminals becomes heroes. The value of the history is a different thing."
