UK should address ex-Gurkha soldiers' demands: Minister Saud

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar 3: Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Prakash Saud has said that the UK government should address the legitimate demands of the ex-Gurkha soldiers.

Speaking at the meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Sunday, Minister Saud made the remarks.

He said that though the progress was seen in the February 21 meeting of the Technical Committee between Nepal UK, demands related to equal pensions are yet to be addressed.

The Foreign Minister also shared that he will be in London for the meeting of the same committee on March 24 and will raise the issues related to the demands of the ex-Gurkha soldiers there as well.
