Kathmandu, Feb 22: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is taking stock of whether the recommendation committee followed the eligibility criteria while recommending the appointment of the Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University.
The PM has been monitoring the meritocracy of three candidates that have been selected by the recommendation committee headed by Minister of Education, Science and Technology Ashok Kumar Rai.
The recommendation committee has presented the names of Chitra Bahadur Budhathoki, Kershar Jung Baral and Tanka Nath Dhamala to the PM for contending on the post of Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University.
Out of 43 applicants 15 were selected for the interview after that three names were given for contending for the vice-chancellor post.
According to the PM’s Secretariat, the PM is in the mindset of appointing a Vice-Chancellor based on education, training, investigative writings, interviews and presentations. (RSS)
