By Thakur Prasad Acharya, Mustang, Nov. 18:The number of people coming to the Muktinath Temple has, of late, been increasing.

According to the Muktinath Area Development Committee, around 2,000 people have been coming to the temple every day.

According to the committee, the Dashain and Tihar vacations served to increase the number of domestic visitors to the temple.

Additionally, pilgrims from India and beyond have also been coming to pray at the temple.

Situated at an altitude of 3,700 metres above sea level, Muktinath is a sacred site for Buddhists and Hindus. It also lies along the famous Annapurna Circuit.
