By Our Correspondent,Urlabari, Nov. 7: Minister for Youth and Sports Dig Bahadur Limbu has said the villages of Northern Morang are incredibly beautiful from a tourism perspective.
Inaugurating Niselung Park in Tadi of Miklajung-3, Morang on Sunday, Minister Limbu who was elected from Morang Constituency-1 said that though villages in his constituency have significant tourism potential, they remained unnoticed due to the lack of promotion.
Minister Limbu expressed happiness over the completion of the park. He had initially provided Rs. 1 million for the construction of Niselung View Tower and Park in 2016 while serving as a parliament member. He said that the structures like the country's first upside-down house built in the park would be a major attraction for internal tourists. He also mentioned that locals would get employment opportunities and businesses would flourish with tourism development.
Niselung Tourism Area Conservation and Development Committee chair Khagendra Maden, province's former lawmaker Kul Prasad Sawan, chairperson of Miklajung Rural Municipality Babi Kumar Rai and others were present at the programme.
Meanwhile, land providers Birkha Bahadur Sawan, Balaram Patangawa, Sher Bahadur Lingden, Baudhaman Jawegu and Birkhaman Rai were honoured at the programme.
The Niselung View Tower constructed at an altitude of 800 metres above the sea level stands 55-feet tall. The Niselung Tourism Area Conservation and Development Committee had constructed the view tower and park on 13 ropanis and 10 annas of land at a cost of Rs. 9.3 million.
