Run health institutions without interruption, says MoHP

blog

Kathmandu, Sept 27: The Ministry of Health and Population has directed all health institutions in the country to continue their services without interruption.

Issuing a circular to all health institutions on Wednesday, Spokesperson of the Ministry, Dr Prakash Budhathoki, has said that the government is fully committed to take action against those who assault health workers by effectively implementing the Health Workers and Health Institutions Safety Act, 2066 (First Amendment 2079). However, since right to health care is fundamental right of the citizens the health institutions should run continuously.

It may be noted that doctors and health workers have taken to the streets demanding action against those who have manhandled doctors in different parts of the country. (RSS)
