By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept. 20: A delegation led by Zeng Yan, a standing committee member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Yunnan Province and chief of the publicity department discussed the roles of Nepal-China media on Wednesday.
During the visit of Jana Aastha Media House in Lalitpur delegation members emphasized the roles of Nepali and Chinese media in building the two countries' relations stronger.
CPC standing committee member Yan said that the role of media will be vital to developing Nepal-China relations up to the people's livelihood. She stressed there is a need for combined work effort of both countries' journalists for the bilateral interests and concerns.
She praised the role of the Nepal-China Media Forum and Jana Aastha newspaper.
The CPC delegation team emphasized the need to use new media for information sharing and all other activities for the betterment of the relations of both countries.
Welcoming the delegation team Chair of Nepal-China Media Forum and also the Chairman of Jana Aastha Publication Pvt. Ltd. Kishor Shrestha explained the issues and status of Nepali Media. He also suggested the increment of media cooperation in both countries.
Forum's General Secretary and Press Advisor of the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' Gobinda Acharya, senior Journalist Kamal Koirala, and Chinese journalists among others also participated in the discussion.
