Khapung has administered oath of office to newly appointed chief minister of
the province, Hikmat Kumar Karki.
Karki
was appointed Province CM as per the mandamus order of the Supreme Court which on
Thursday had issued verdict to appoint Karki as CM of the province as per Article
168 (3) of the Constitution within 48 hours.
Following
his swearing-in, CM Karki, who is also parliamentary party leader of CPN (UML)
in Koshi provincial assembly, appointed three ministers and one state
ministers.
Province
Chief Khapung administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly
appointed provincial ministers while CM Karki administered the oath to the
state minister of the province, Srijana Rai.
Newly
appointed ministers are Tilkumar Menyangbo of Taplejung, Ekjar Karki of Jhapa
and Panchkarna Rai of Khotang.
