Deuba leaves for Singapore for health check up

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, June 15: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has left for Singapore for a routine health check follow-up naming vice-president Purna Bahadur Khadka as acting president in his absence.

Deuba flew on Tuesday night and he is scheduled to remain in Singapore for a week.

NC chief secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel on Wednesday informed that the party has designated vice-president Khadka as the acting President as per party statute.

Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Khadka is also the Chief of the Central Policy, Research and Training Academy of the party. 

Chief secretary Paudel informed that Khadka would take the responsibility of the party as its acting president until Deuba returns home.
