“The greatest gift a parent can ever get, is a smile in their child’s face”
I have a lifelong dream of seeing my kids flourish, just like any other parent. Seeing your child excel in life is the best feeling a parent can have. We feel pride and joy with every accomplishment, no matter how great or tiny.
Most parents dedicate the majority of their time to guiding their kids and doing everything in their power to lead them along the path of morality. When they achieve their objectives, it gives us and them both a sense of affirmation. When our children succeed, we feel a surge of pride run through our bodies. This not only makes us happy, but there is nothing more beautiful to witness than our own children, in whom we have invested our hopes.
Cross-Cultural Interaction
My heart still bursts with joy now as I think back on my son's recent win in a Chinese tournament, despite the fact that this incident happened weeks ago. I experienced a similar moment. Children and cross-cultural interaction were the main themes of this particular Chinese tournament.
The "2022 Junior Cultural Ambassador event" is a forum for young minds where they can express their feelings about diverse Chinese cultures. The China Song Qing Ling foundation, a group established in Mrs. Song Qing Ling's (a former vice president of China and the "Mother of the Nation"), which is a group that promotes children's overall well-being and unites young people from all around the world, provide this opportunities to children to showcase their talents. I am very appreciative of the Song Qing Ling foundation's commitment to advancing Chinese language and culture and giving young students like my son a stage on which to demonstrate their abilities.
As my son's partner, I was able to thoroughly immerse myself in Chinese culture and to visit China and its heritages as a result of his success. The moment I and the Nepalese mother's child were recognised on stage and given awards was unquestionably the high point of the entire journey. I still get goosebumps when I think about how my kid was the only Nepali to receive this opportunity while watching him receive the most prestigious award of his life.
The journey of learning and personal development was just as important as travelling to China for those who competed in the Chinese competition. My child was given the possibility at a very young age that other people had to work extremely hard for years to obtain. This gathering had everything, from entertainment to education, in one holistic package.
He also learned a variety of qualities from it, like perseverance, the desire to always work hard, and many more that will benefit him not only as a teenager but also in the future. For me personally, extracurricular activities have always been seen as being just as important for a child's overall growth as their academic studies. We have always pushed our son to learn about new people, places, and things, and seeing him succeed in this situation has provided evidence for that.
My life has been affected by this experience in a way that has altered my outlook on a number of different issues. With the assistance of his perseverance and hard effort, my son was able to win a significant tournament. This has inspired me to do everything in my power to encourage and assist him. I observed my song have the time of his life on this occasion as he made new friends, interacted with others, learned about cultures from throughout the world, and most importantly, had a blast.
High Confidence
My confidence in how I'm raising him has been strengthened by seeing his smile and participation in the programme. My son wore traditional Nepali attire the entire time, and seeing him represent our entire country in front of millions of people has given me the confidence to carry myself with pride the rest of my life.
Children are like raw clay, and it is the job of parents to shape this unformed clay into something lovely. Each child on this planet is unique, in my opinion. Each of them has particular qualities as well as flaws that are unique to them. Every parent owes it to their children to help them keep their positive traits and work to enhance any that they may have.
Additionally, I want to urge any parent who reads this essay to encourage their kids to participate in these kinds of events in addition to focusing on their studies. Children have every right to make new acquaintances and experience this wonderful world; they are not meant to be cooped up in books.
Finally, I'd want to express my gratitude to the Song Qing Ling Foundation, the entire LRICC family, the Chinese Cultural Centre, BICC, and all the lovely individuals who have supported me and my child along this amazing trip.
