By Our Correspondent,Bharatpur, Mar. 4: On the occasion of the World Wildlife Day, a morning rally was organised around the tourist town of Sauraha on Friday to raise awareness about wildlife conservation.

World Organisation for Animal Health, Japan Trust Fund, Chitwan National Park and the National Trust for Nature Conservation jointly organised the event in which, people from different local communities participated wearing their traditional dresses.

The World Wildlife Day is celebrated every year on March 3 to appreciate the presence of a wide variety of wildlife and create global awareness about the need to conserve wild fauna and flora.

Meanwhile, a one-day wildlife conservation workshop was also organised here on Friday where 57 conservationists interact with the residents living to the east of the Chitwan National Park.
