Kathmandu, Jan 18 : Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has appointed Gyanendra Bahadur Shahi as the Chief Whip of its parliamentary party.
RPP parliamentary party leader and
Deputy Prime Minister Rajendra Lingden appointed Shahi to the post of Chief
Whip in accordance with the party's parliamentary party statute, states a press
release issued by party's spokesperson and Publicity Department Chief, Mohan
Shrestha.
The major responsibility of the
Chief Whip is to facilitate in the agenda to be tabled and discussed in the
parliament meeting by maintaining coordination between the party and the
Speaker. Shahi was elected the Member of House of Representatives from Jumla
constituency in the November 20 election. (RSS)
