blog

Kathmandu, Dec 29: Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has made it clear that his party had not held discussion with any political party in a unification bid.

He however said unified leftist force should be established to give a new pace to the party. Chairman Nepal said it while addressing the meeting of the office bearers of the organizations close to his party on Thursday. He claimed that the polarization of leftist forces would ensure political stability in the country and help make party active for the people's service.

Also the former prime minister, Chairman Nepal reminded that his party was established in the background of then revolt and for which he was ready to justify the rationale. He informed that his party had not decided on whether to join the government. Decision to this regard would be made after holding standing committee meeting.

Leader Nepal further said the positive works carried out by the present government would be supported though his party was not in the government. Some of the leaders attending the meeting voiced for joining the government while others said it was not right time to join government without establishing the agenda the party raised.

In the changed political context, the CPN (Unified Socialist) is holding intensive discussions with party leaders and cadres for future strategy.(RSS)
