Pokhara, Dec 26 : Yangjakot, a historical and touristic village, in the northeast of Kaski district has received impressive number of visitors in the aftermath of the COVID-19.
With the end of
coronavirus fear, more tourists have visited Yangjakot in Madi Rural Municipality-3
and the panoramic sites there, receiving services from home-stay.
The village is
accessible for domestic and foreign visitors, thanks to development of road
network.
Khim Kumari
Gurung, a home-stay runner, said the village receives some three to four groups
of visitors on every single day, while the number of visitors is even higher on
weekends and holidays.
The villagers
have run nine home-stays where more than 130 guests can be accommodated.
Likewise, more
visitors stay there since the Yangjakot is also the headquarters of the rural
municipality.
The local
residents there have shared that the visitors reach the site to get refreshed
from the hustle and bustle of the town.
Yangjakot, which
lies some 20 kilometres away from Pokhara with 12 kilometres of blacktopped
