Inter-Faith Prayer Gathering organised

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 25. An Inter-Faith Prayer Gathering was organised at the St. Mary’s School, Jawalakhel on the occasion of Christmas on Friday.

According to School, the very first of its kind, the main aims of the gathering were to re-understand and re-live the true notion of peace and to remind us all, of the importance of unity and togetherness. 

The discussions were initiated on the verses of the Bible, the message of the Quran, the concept of peace in Hinduism and the Sikh scripture.

The final discussion of the day was by Bhikshu Kondanya, a Buddhist scholar who explained the evolving nature of people and religion, all the while making us aware of the fact that the more sophisticated we are, the more complicated we become.
