Solo poetry recitation of Rayamajhi

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 15: A solo poetry recitation programme by emerging poet Nirvik Jung Rayamajhi was held at Mandala Theatre amid a huge gathering of audience including some famous literary figures.

Poet Rayamajhi recited around a dozen poems, portraying socio-political anomalies and discrimination prevailing in the society, at the programme organised by Udgar Literary Society. His poem titled Akhijhyal describes ferocious scenes while Batas Ko Laya sketches the subtle human feelings. Other poems Khir Khane Din, Aujar, Mero Sir Kailas Ko Sir Jasto Chhaina provoke the voice of social change.

Poet Tulsi Diwas told that Nirvik's poems were as fearless as his name.

"I find the poems by this novice  poet really powerful," Diwas said. Song writer and poet Biplav Pratik expressed that the poems by Nirvik would live very long while Shrawan Mukarung recited a poem titled Chataro by Nirvik as his favourite.

Known as subversive young poet, Rayamajhi is active in literature as well as in journalism field for  a decade.
