By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 14: The trailer of Sorry Mom, a family drama, was released on Monday. The film unit also showed the film to a few selected journalists and artistes.
Produced under the banner of NFI Creation, this film gives a message against drug addiction. The film tells the story of a young bright student addicted to alcohol, cigarettes and drugs and the woes he adds to his family and his own life.
Speaking at the programme, lead actress Sarita Lamichhane said that the film is all about how a teenage boy become drug addict because of bad company. The film made by technicians who have been working behind the screens for a long time will help make society aware about the social ill, she said.
Producer Binod Lama said that they have prepared the film picking a story of the society. Besides releasing in the halls, the film will also be screened to the target group through charity shows and for that, everyone's support is needed, said Lama. Lama also said that they postponed the film release date from December 15 to December 20 because of the screening Hollywood Film Avatar: The Way of Water in the local theatres.
Saroj Khanal, Sarita Lamichhane, Prabhat Pal, Alish Rai, Prebil Kandel, RB Katuwal, Bihan Shrestha, Unisha bajagain and Rejina magar have done the film directed by Nabin Bogati.
The cinematography of the film is directed by Dirgha Gurung while Pritam Pandey has edited it.
Organisations like Nepal Jaycees, Narconon Nepal, PABSON, N-PABSON, HISSAN, Teacher Federation and other organisations cooperated in the production of this film.
