By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 5: The meeting of the
ruling alliance has started at Baluwatar, the Prime Minister’s official
residence.
The meeting is expected to review the election results
and dwell on the course ahead as it is held after the results of the elections
held on November 20.
Bedu Ram Bhusal, general secretary of CPN (Unified Socialist) said that the meeting will review the poll results and discuss the formation of the new government.Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Rastriya Janamorcha (RJM) and Lokatantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) are in the ruling alliance.
NC president
and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel,
vice-president Purna Bahadur Khadka, spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat, CPN
(Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda, senior vice-chairman
Narayan Kaji Shrestha, CPN (Unified Socialist) chair Madhav Nepal and general
secretary Bhusal and RJM vice-chairperson Durga Paudel are attending the meeting.
NC won in
57, Maoist Center in 18, Unified Socialist in 10, LSP in 4 and RJM in 1 constituency
out of 165 constituencies under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) electoral system
for electing the member of the House of Representatives (HoR).
