NC's Koirala elected to HoR for consecutive 4th time
Madhyabindu, Nov 24: Nepali Congress leader Shashanka
Koirala has won the election to the member of the House of Representatives from
Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) constituency-1. This is Koirala's fourth
consecutive win.
Koirala, a common candidate of the
alliance, garnered 27,126 votes while his closest rival of the CPN (UML),
Krishna Prasad Poudel got 25,044 votes.
According to the office of the
Election Officer, Rajan Gautam of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party received 23,301
votes.
