Kanchanpur, Nov 24: Nepali Congress's NP Saud was elected the House of Representatives member from Kanchanpur constituency 2. He received 28,100 votes while his nearest rival CPN (UML)'s Nar Bahadur Dhami 21,645. Out of the total 64,752 votes cast, 4,920 were invalid, according to the office of election officer.
Under the PA (2), NC's Bahadur Singh Thapa won. He got 10,668 votes against 8,942 votes received by his closest rival UML's Kriparam Rana. Similarly, under the PA (1), CPN (Maoist Center)'s Om Bikram Bhat was elected. He received 10,925 votes while his nearest rival UML's Bachan Bahadur Singh 10,450. (RSS)
