Mahesh leading ahead of Jala Nath Khanal in Ilam 1
By Prem Adhakari, Ilam, Nov. 21: CPN UML candidate for the member of the House of Representatives (HoR) Mahesh Basnet has been taking lead ahead of former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal, who is a candidate of CPN (Unified Socialist) for the HoR member, in Ilam Constituency 1.
Basnet has been taking lead in initial counting.
Basnet has secured 1,257 votes and Khanal has got 1,041 out of the 2,600 votes counted so far. 59,906 votes were cast in the election held on Nov 20.
