Special initiatives for development of upper Gorkha: Chair Prachanda

By TRN Online, Gorkha, Nov. 13: CPN (Maoist Center) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has vowed to take special initiative for the development of upper Gorkha’s remote areas.

The former Prime Minister said so while addressing election rallies held at different places in Chumnubri Rural Municipality which falls under Constituency 1 of Gorkha.

The Maoist Center Chair also held meetings with locals at Chhekmpar, Samagaun, Sirdibas and Machhakhola.

Leader Prachanda said that he chose Gorkha for the development and prosperity Gorkha and urged the voters to teach a lesson to the regressive and anti-constitution forces through the upcoming election of November 20.

He viewed the present election is a competition between the pro-constitution forces and the anti-constitution forces and that the ruling alliance has been for the safeguarding of the constitution, prosperity and progress while the other alliance led by UML has been for doing away with the achievements made so far and lead the country into a dark tunnel.

“I began preparations for political changes from this district. Now, political change has been achieved, but people’s condition has remained unchanged. Therefore, I have come here to start the change in people’s lives and bring about an economic revolution in the country,” said the former Prime Minister.

The Maoist Center Chair pledged to complete the overall development of the Gorkha district if he gets elected in the election.

He assured that he would take initiative to bring in a national grid in the district, ensure the development of education and health, increase employment, set up herbal industries in villages, develop Himalayan and hilly tourism areas and thus spread the message of prosperity from Gorkha across the nation and the world.

Gorkha proved to be a fertile land for political revolution, and I am confident that it will also be proved to be equally fertile for the revolution to bring in prosperity, said the Maoist Center Chairman.

He appealed to the voters for support in the journey to the economic revolution.

Chairman Prachanda is contesting in the election of the member of the House of Representatives from Constituency 2 of Gorkha district.
